Permissions within the user roles control what internal users can see and do across the platform.
Understanding each one helps you build roles that are secure, efficient, and tailored to your teams.
Where to manage role permissions
To create or edit a role, navigate to:
ONE Admin > Users > Roles > + New Role
This will open the full list of permissions available to assign.

How to view permission descriptions
When creating or editing a role:
Hover over the '?' icon next to each permission
A short description will appear explaining what that permission allows
Click the 'Select all' option to select all permissions within that section

App Management
Devices
View and manage app devices
Highlights
Allows users to manage programme highlights that appear on the app and, if enabled, at the top of the programme catalogue.
Asset Management
Assets
Allows users to manage asset materials and restrictions. Users can create, edit, and assign assets (separate from managing asset permissions).
Content Management
News
Allows users to create and publish news articles.
Pages
Allows users to create and edit collections and pages, including navigation management.
Talents
Allows users to create and assign talents to programme and series levels.

Allows users to manage core platform setup, including video providers and localisations.
