What is programme, video and list visibility and how does this work?

In order to reduce syncing time, and for better usability within the app as well as the online app, you are able to set visibility options for programmes and videos. This is managed within the CMS which establishes whether they appear on the website or app (or both). We have also added this functionality to lists!

Programme Visibility

The programme visibility determines whether you want your programmes to be visible on the web, offline app, and the online app (depending on whether you have these features switched on).

To manage the programme visibility, you will need to go to ONE Admin > Programme Management > Programmes > Actions (next to the programme) > Edit

Radio buttons will appear within the 'Visibility' section of the edit form, allowing you to select from the options that appear:

Make sure to save any changes to update the visibility of the programme.

You can check the visibility status of all your programmes by downloading a CSV, and if you require a bulk update to the visibility status, please let us know.

Video Visibility

The video visibility works in the same way and determines whether you want the video specifically to appear on the web, offline app, and the online app. Again, this is dependant on whether you have these features switched on.

To manage the video visibility, you will need to go to ONE Admin > Programme Management > Videos > Actions (next to the video) > Edit

Below the 'Public' and 'Restricted' radio buttons, you will now see that additional options to manage the video visibility:

Make sure you save the changes to update the visibility of the video.

List Visibility

We have now added the ‘Visibility’ option to lists so that they can show on the online app, offline app or the website independently.

Please note: Anyone will be able to set the visibility of a personal list, and only Admins (or those with 'Manage Lists' permissions) will be able to set the visibility of Global Lists.

To manage the list visibility, you will need to go into the list you want to manage > 'Edit List' from the 'List Actions' menu.

New radio buttons will now appear so you can select where you want the list to appear:

Simply click on 'Update List' to update the visibility.

You can also manage the visibility for the offline app quickly when you are on your list page and you will be provided with a summary of how many lists will sync to the app

Toggles will appear below the list to easily sync the lists to the app:
