News Articles

Create, manage, and organise your news content in one place

The News feature has been fully integrated into the ONE CMS, giving you a dedicated space to create articles, manage categories, and control how your news appears on the front end.


Where to manage News

Navigate to:
​ONE Admin > Content > News

Everything you need to build and organise your news content is in one place.


Creating a News Article

To create a new article:

  1. Click '+ Add News Article' (top right corner)

  2. Complete the required fields in the pop-up modal

  3. Choose your publish date

  4. Enable Sharing adds a link at the bottom of the page to link to social media sites

  5. Click 'Active' to make the article live.

  6. Click 'Featured' to featurise the news article to appear at the top of the new page - more info below.


Featured articles

You can highlight key content by ticking the Featured box.

  • Featured articles appear at the top of your news page

  • Ideal for announcements or priority updates


Adding content to your article

Once saved, your news article becomes fully customisable.

You can:

  • Add content blocks (just like standard pages)

  • Build rich, engaging layouts

  • Include images, videos, quotes, and more

When published, your article will automatically appear on the front end.


Editing the News page

To ensure your News page is visible and styled correctly:

  1. Go to ONE Admin > Content > News

  2. Click the 'Actions' menu next to the '+ Add News Article' button > Edit

  3. Save your changes

You can then customise the page further:

  • Click the dropdown next to the News page

  • Select 'Manage Banner' and 'Manage Meta Data'

  • Upload or update your banner image, and manage meta data


News Categories

Categories help you organise your news and make it easier for users to filter content.

Create a category:

  1. Navigate to ONE Admin > Content > News > Categories

  2. Click '+ Add News Category'

  3. Enter your category name and save


Assigning categories to articles

To assign a category:

  1. Click 'Edit' on a news article

  2. Select the relevant category

  3. Save your changes


How categories appear on the front end

Once assigned:

  • Categories are displayed on each article

  • Users can filter news by category

  • Helps improve content discovery and navigation


Tips

  • Use featured articles for key announcements or time-sensitive updates

  • Keep categories simple and consistent for better filtering

  • Use content blocks to make articles visually engaging

  • Regularly review and archive outdated news content


The News feature gives you full control over your updates, allowing you to create structured, engaging articles and organise them with categories. With flexible content blocks and featured options, you can keep your audience informed and engaged with ease.
