Google Analytics

Track and understand your site performance

Written by Support

Integrating Google Analytics (GA) with your ONE platform allows you to monitor user behaviour, track engagement, and gain valuable insights into how your content is performing.

Why use Google Analytics?

With GA set up, you can:

  • Track user activity across your site

  • Understand which pages and content perform best

  • Monitor traffic sources and user journeys

  • Make data-driven decisions to improve your platform

How to set up Google Analytics

To connect GA to your platform:

  1. Navigate to ONE Admin > Settings > Site Configuration > General

  2. Locate the fields for:

    • Google Analytics ID

    • Google Tag Manager ID (if applicable)

  3. Enter your IDs

  4. Save your changes

Once saved, tracking will begin automatically

When will data appear?

  • Data may take up to 48 hours to appear in your Google Analytics account

  • After this, you’ll start seeing insights into user activity and engagement

Important update

  • ONE supports the latest Google Analytics IDs starting with 'G-' (GA4)

  • Older IDs starting with 'UA-' are still accepted, but:

    • These are no longer supported by Google (since July 2023)

    • It’s recommended to switch to GA4 if you haven’t already

Tips

  • Double-check your ID is entered correctly to ensure tracking works

  • Use GA4 dashboards to explore user behaviour in detail

  • Review analytics regularly to optimise your content strategy

  • Combine GA insights with platform data for a full picture

Setting up Google Analytics in ONE is quick and powerful. With just your GA ID added in the Config page, you can unlock valuable insights into how users interact with your site and make smarter decisions based on real data.
