What is Video Autocue?
Video Autocue is a feature designed to improve user engagement by automatically advancing to the next video once the current one has finished playing.
Instead of manually selecting each video, users can sit back and let content play continuously.
How does Video Autocue work?
When enabled on a programme page:
A video plays as normal
Once it ends, a short countdown begins
The next video in the carousel automatically starts
This continues until the user reaches the end of the carousel.
What will users experience?
With Video Autocue active, users can:
Watch videos back-to-back without interruption
Experience content in the exact order it appears in the carousel
Enjoy a more “lean-back” viewing experience
How does filtering affect Autocue?
Video Autocue respects any filters applied to the carousel:
If a user filters by Season, only videos within that season will play
Autocue will not pull in videos outside of the selected filter
This ensures playback always stays relevant to the user’s selection.
