The Page Redirect feature allows you to redirect any page to a different URL. This means that when a user clicks the page, they are automatically taken to a new destination - whether that’s another page on your site or an external link.
It’s a simple way to manage outdated pages, guide navigation, or link to external resources.
What are Page Redirects used for?
Page redirects help you:
Send users to updated or replacement pages
Direct traffic to external websites
Clean up old or outdated URLs
Improve user navigation flow
How to set up a Page Redirect
To add a redirect:
Navigate to ONE Admin > Content > Pages
Find the page you want to redirect
Click Actions > Edit
Locate the 'Redirect URL' field
Enter the destination URL
Save your changes
What happens after saving?
Once a redirect is added:
Clicking the original page will automatically send users to the new URL
The original page URL will also redirect users when accessed directly
Redirects work for both internal and external links
Important rules
The redirect URL must be different from the original page URL
If both URLs are the same, you will see an error and the page cannot be saved
You must enter a valid, working URL for the redirect to function correctly
Tips
Use redirects when retiring old pages to avoid broken links
Always test your redirect after saving to ensure it works correctly
Use external redirects carefully to maintain a smooth user experience
Keep a record of redirects for long-term site management
Page Redirects give you a quick and effective way to guide users to the right destination. Whether you’re updating content or linking externally, redirects help keep your website clean, consistent, and easy to navigate.
