Asset Management Categories

Asset Categories help you structure and organise your files across the platform, making it easier to manage and locate assets for programmes, seasons, and episodes.


Where to find Asset Categories

Navigate to:
ONE Admin > Catalogue > Assets > Categories


Creating a New Category

  1. Click + New Asset Category (top right)

  2. Enter a name for your category

  3. Click save

Your new category is now available when uploading assets


Editing a Category

Need to rename a category? No problem:

  1. Click Actions > Edit next to the category

  2. Update the name

  3. Save your changes

This will update the category name across the entire site, including all assets already assigned to it.


Deleting a Category

  1. Click Actions > Delete

  2. Confirm the deletion

Important:

  • You can only delete a category if no assets are assigned to it

  • Once deleted, the category cannot be recovered

  • Improve workflow when uploading and managing files

  • Ensure consistency across programmes and content


Tips

  • Create categories before uploading assets to save time later

  • Use clear, consistent naming (e.g. “Press Kits”, “Images”, “Documents”)

  • Review categories regularly to remove unused or outdated ones

  • Avoid duplicates by checking existing categories before creating new ones


Well-structured categories make asset management faster, cleaner, and much more efficient for your entire team.
