What are Languages?

Languages indicate which language options are available for your programmes.

Assigning languages helps users know in which languages they can watch a programme - for example, English, Spanish, or French.

How to access and manage Languages

  1. Go to ONE Admin > Programme Management > Languages

  2. From the Languages screen, you can:

    • Add a new language

    • Edit an existing language

    • Delete a language

The order of languages displayed on the front end follows the order they are added in the system.

Adding a new language

  1. Click + New Language

  2. Enter the name of the language (e.g., English, French)

  3. Click Save Language

Your new language is now available to assign to programmes.

Editing an existing language

  1. Click Actions > Edit next to the language you want to update

  2. Update the name as required

  3. Click Save Language

This will update the language across all programmes it is assigned to.

Deleting a language

  1. Click Actions > Delete next to the language

  2. A confirmation warning will appear

  3. Confirm to delete

Once deleted, a language cannot be restored, so ensure it’s no longer needed before removing.

Tips:

  • Use clear naming
Stick to standard language names to avoid confusion for users.

  • Order matters
Add your most common or default language first so it appears at the top in listings.

  • Check programme assignments
Before deleting a language, make sure no active programmes rely on it to prevent missing information.
