App Highlights

Manage what your users see first

Your Highlights are the first thing users see when they open the app - making them a powerful way to showcase your most important content.

Highlights are managed via the website and are the same for all users on the app.


Where to find Highlights

To manage your Highlights:

  1. Go to ONE Admin

  2. Click Apps

  3. Select Sales/Offline App

  4. Click Highlights


Choosing your layout

You have two display options, depending on how you want your content presented:


Layout 1 – Programme Listing

This layout displays Highlights like a catalogue page with:

  • A static banner image

  • A list of selected programmes

How to use it:

  1. Select Layout 1 – Programme Listing

  2. Add your chosen programmes

  3. Save your changes

Ideal for a clean, straightforward showcase.


Banner Details

Add a Banner Placeholder Image

  1. Click Select Image

  2. Choose a 2048x950 banner image

  3. Save

This will be your placeholder image for your highlights tab on the app.

Add Banner Placeholder Copy

  1. Add you text to the box - simple!

This copy will appear within the banner on your highlights tab on the app.

Add PDF Asset

  1. Click Select PDF

  2. Save

This PDF will appear as a button within the banner on your highlights tab within the app.


Add a programme

  1. Click Actions menu

  2. Select Add Programme

  3. Search using at least 3 characters

  4. Select your programme

  5. Click Add Programme

The programme will appear at the bottom of the list.

Programmes must already exist in the CMS before adding.


Remove a programme

  • Click the “X” icon next to a programme

  • Confirm deletion

This only removes it from Highlights - not from the CMS.


Reorder programmes

  • Drag and drop programmes into your desired order

  • Changes save automatically


Layout 2 – Collection View

This layout offers a more dynamic experience with:

  • A banner carousel of featured content

  • Categories displayed underneath

How to use it:

  1. Select Layout 2 – Collection View

  2. Add programmes to the Banner Carousel

  3. Create and manage categories


Add programmes to the carousel

  1. Use the Banner Carousel section

  2. Click the Actions menu

  3. Select Add Programme

  4. Start typing your programme to search

  5. Click Add Programme

Don't have too many here - you need to scroll through these in the banner carousel on the app


Add programme PDFs

  1. Next to the programme in the banner - click Select PDF

  2. Choose your PDF

  3. Save

  4. Each PDF will appear as a button in the banner carousel for each programme


Create a category

  1. Click + Add Category

  2. Enter a Name

  3. (Optional) Select a Genre

  4. (Optional) Select PDF

If a genre is selected, users can tap the category to view a filtered catalogue.

If a PDF is added, users can tap the PDF within the category.


Add programmes to a category

  1. Click Actions > Add Programme

  2. Select your titles

These will display as programme cards under the category in the app.


Reorder content

  • Programmes within categories: drag and drop

  • Categories themselves:

    • Enable 'Reorder categories' checkbox

    • Drag and drop into position


Don’t forget to sync!

After making any changes:

Re-sync your iPad to update the Highlights in the app


Tips

  • Keep Highlights focused and up to date

  • Use Collection View for storytelling and structure

  • Use Programme Listing for simplicity

  • Prioritise your strongest titles first
