Managing Episodes in the CMS
Episodes are managed separately from videos and can be created and edited in the CMS.
Navigate to:
ONE Admin > Catalogue > Episodes
Click ‘+ New Episode’ (top right corner)
Add an episode name
Assign it to a programme and season
Add an episode description
Set status:
Tick Active or Restricted
Add a release date (optional)
Add any custom attributes if required
Click Save
How it works
Once created and active, episodes are automatically linked to their programme
If Episode Display is enabled, they will appear on the programme page
If disabled, episodes will remain in the CMS but won’t be shown to users
Tips
Keep episode naming clear and consistent
Use descriptions to add context and value
Only activate episodes when content is ready to be viewed
Use custom attributes for enhanced filtering or metadata
Episode Display gives you the flexibility to structure and showcase episodic content, while maintaining full control over how and when it appears on your programme pages.
