Episode Display

Control how episodes appear on your programme pages

Written by Support

The Episode Display feature gives you full control over whether episodes are shown on programme pages - helping you tailor how your content is presented to users.

What is Episode Display?

With this feature enabled, you can:

  • Decide whether episodes are visible on programme pages

  • Structure your content into programmes, seasons, and episodes

  • Provide a more detailed and organised viewing experience

What users will see

When Episode Display is active:

  • Episodes will appear on their associated programme pages

  • Users can browse content by season and episode

  • Each episode can include its own metadata and description

Managing Episodes in the CMS

Episodes are managed separately from videos and can be created and edited in the CMS.

Navigate to:
ONE Admin > Catalogue > Episodes

  1. Click ‘+ New Episode’ (top right corner)

  2. Add an episode name

  3. Assign it to a programme and season

  4. Add an episode description

  5. Set status:

    • Tick Active or Restricted

    • Add a release date (optional)

  6. Add any custom attributes if required

  7. Click Save

How it works

  • Once created and active, episodes are automatically linked to their programme

  • If Episode Display is enabled, they will appear on the programme page

  • If disabled, episodes will remain in the CMS but won’t be shown to users

Tips

  • Keep episode naming clear and consistent

  • Use descriptions to add context and value

  • Only activate episodes when content is ready to be viewed

  • Use custom attributes for enhanced filtering or metadata

Episode Display gives you the flexibility to structure and showcase episodic content, while maintaining full control over how and when it appears on your programme pages.
