Video Versions

What is the Video Versions feature?

Video Versions allows you to organise and filter videos based on the version they are available in.

If your content is available in multiple versions, this feature adds a version dropdown to your programme page, enabling users to quickly filter videos and watch the specific version.

How does it work?

Once enabled, the feature works in three simple steps:

  1. Create your version in the CMS

  2. Assign those versions to your programmes or videos

  3. A version filter dropdown appears on the programme page

This makes it easy for users to find the right version of a video without scrolling through all available options.

Creating version

  1. Go to ONE Admin > Catalogue > Meta > Versions

  2. Click + Add Version

  3. Enter the version name

  4. Save your changes

Your version is now available to assign.

Assigning versions to programmes or videos

  1. Navigate to:

    • Catalogue > Programmes or

    • Catalogue > Videos

  2. Find the item you want to update

  3. Click Actions > Edit

  4. Scroll down to the Versions field

  5. Select the relevant version(s)

  6. Save your changes

How it appears on the programme page

Once versions are assigned, users will see a version dropdown filter on the programme page.

This allows them to:

  • View videos for a specific version

  • Quickly switch between available version options
