The Video Dashboard is a new feature designed to make it easier for external users to find and access videos they have permission to watch. Instead of searching through multiple programme pages, all accessible videos are now in one convenient place.
This feature can be turned on for all clients by default, but can also be disabled via the Subscriptions page if needed.
Who sees it?
External users who are logged in will now see a new “My Videos” page under My Account.
This page shows videos based on permissions granted to the individual user.
For example, if an Account Manager gives access to a restricted video, it will appear on this dashboard.
How it works
Video Grouping
Videos are grouped by programme, making it easier to see all content related to a specific programme in one place.
Searching
Users can search programmes by name directly from the dashboard.
Viewing Videos
Clicking a programme shows all videos the user has access to within that programme.
Videos play on the dashboard page itself, so users aren’t redirected elsewhere.
Video Ordering
Videos are displayed in order of most recently applied permissions first.
This helps users quickly find newly accessible content.
Why use the Video Dashboard?
Saves time and effort by showing all permitted videos in one place
Provides clear organisation by programme
Makes it easy to find new or recently restricted content
Keeps users on the same page while watching videos
The Video Dashboard is a simple, user-friendly way to make sure external users can easily find and watch content they have permission to view.
